Tochal Mountain is a prominent peak situated in northern Tehran, rising to a height of 3,962 meters. Part of the Alborz mountain range, Tochal is not only a natural wonder but also a hub for adventure and leisure. Visitors can enjoy activities like cable car rides, skiing, sledding, bungee jumping, and more, including archery and virtual reality experiences.
The cable car is one of the mountain’s most famous attractions. It features three main lines and seven stations, including a ski line. Stretching approximately 7,500 meters, it is one of the longest cable car routes in the world, reaching an altitude of 3,680 meters and offering breathtaking views and fresh mountain air.
The Tochal zip line is the largest in Iran, located on Boston Footpath No. 2. It spans 200 meters in length and reaches a height of 70 meters, providing a thrilling adventure for adrenaline seekers.
It’s the closest ski area to Tehran, and it is a popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts. Its seventh station sits at 3,500 meters above sea level, making it the first slope in Iran to receive snow each season. In wet years, skiing here can last up to eight months.
The Tochal Sledge is Iran’s longest and most exciting toboggan track, measuring 1,420 meters. Designed by a German company in 2014, it is certified by both the National Organization of Iran and the European standard company TUV, ensuring safety and quality.
Perched at 3,500 meters, the Tochal Hotel opened in 2010 and offers visitors a variety of amenities, including a coffee shop, recreational sports (billiards and ping pong), and a movie screening system.
The ski resort and cable car are closed on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, but open:
Other weekdays: 08:00 – 15:00
