The Catholic Church (Naderi Church)

The Catholic Church of Ahvaz, also known as Naderi Church, is one of the city’s notable religious landmarks. The church impresses visitors with its distinctive architecture, featuring a spacious courtyard, several halls, metal and stone inscriptions on the exterior walls, a brick canopy, and stained glass windows decorated with metal patterns.

Inside the church, a statue of Mary stands within a stone enclosure, surrounded by a halo of light. She is depicted wearing blue garments, with pink flowers arranged around her, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere.

According to available records, the church was reconstructed in 1964 under the supervision of Father Philippus. However, there is limited documented information about the original structure, and the exact date of its initial construction remains unknown.
