Mostofi House, located in the historic district of Shushtar, dates back to the Qajar period. Originally the residence of merchant Mohammad Ali Mostofi, it now serves as a restaurant, museum, and photography studio. History

Mostofi House was built in the late Qajar era by Mohammad Ali Mostofi, a prominent local merchant. Its construction and design reflect both the cultural values and architectural trends of Shushtar during that period.

Architecture

The house is divided into two main sections: the inner courtyard and the outer courtyard. It offers stunning views of the Shatit River and the historic Shadervan Bridge. Designed by the master architect Haj Mohammad Taghi Memar, Mostofi House features:

  • Traditional Persian motifs

  • Chinese-inspired architectural decorations
