Moein al-Tojjar Caravanserai is a historic building dating back to the Qajar period, located along the Karun River in the old district of Ahvaz. It served as the residence of the prominent merchant Mohammad Taqi Moein al-Tojjar, built in collaboration with Mohammad Hassan Khan Saad al-Douleh.
For many years, the caravanserai’s doors remained closed to the public, but they have recently been reopened for visitors. Despite this, the structure suffered significant damage during a fire in 1995, which affected parts of its historic fabric. Today, the caravanserai stands as an important reminder of Ahvaz’s commercial and architectural history, attracting tourists interested in Persian heritage and Qajar-era architecture.
