Mapar Hous

Mapar House is a historic monument in Khuzestan province, located on Naderi St., Khanasari St., Ahvaz. It’s an old house that sits a short distance from the Karun River on Khansari Street. Despite surviving termites and humidity, you can enjoy sitting among the old bricks, clay pots, and blue ponds while sipping a drink or having breakfast under the pink paper flower tree.

History

Mapar House was the residence of merchant Abdul Majid Mapar during the Pahlavi period. He made changes to the building, taking advantage of its architecture. The house was seized by the government after Mapar’s death and is now under the Cultural Heritage Organization.
