Jahan Nama Garden, historically also known as “Zinat Al-Donya,” is located in the eastern part of Quran Gate and above Hafeziyeh Square in Shiraz. This garden is one of the most beautiful and authentic historical gardens in Iran, offering visitors a rich cultural and natural experience. It was restored in 2005 by the Fars Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
The Garden has flourished during different eras of Shiraz’s history. It reached its peak during the reign of Al-Mozaffar and the Inju dynasty. Throughout the centuries, it has witnessed various renovations and has remained a cherished landmark of the city.
The garden features a unique architecture with lush green areas perfect for sightseeing and relaxation. The central mansion, dating back to the period of Karim Khan, is octagonal. Inside, a solid marble pool sits at the center, surrounded by four royal seats located at each corner. The two-story brick mansion originally had wooden windows, which were later replaced with iron frames by a former owner. The architectural style reflects the traditional Persian garden aesthetics, emphasizing harmony between nature and man-made structures.
The Garden is open to visitors daily from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., providing a peaceful retreat for both locals and tourists.
